Building cultural education into an accredited architecture design competition supports SDG 4. Pioneering culturally responsive practice within a formal industry process, so that Country-led thinking shapes infrastructure and building design from the outset, supports SDG 9 target 9.4 on upgrading industries to be more sustainable and inclusive.
This project pioneered culturally responsive engagement within an accredited Architecture (AIA) Architectural Design Competition. Cultural consultation and project management of the Design Competition for the University of Newcastle’s Alumni house. Competition designs started with Country, by providing cultural education and knowledges within the competition process.
